I’ve been thinking a lot about the core beliefs of serious real estate investors. By “core beliefs”, I mean the fundamental truths about our business that are plain, clear and undeniable to the wise among us.
I’d love to have your thoughts about “core beliefs”. Here are a *few* (I have many more ideas) of the core beliefs that may serve as good examples for you:
- I believe real estate investing is the surest way to achieve long-term, generational wealth
- I seek to establish transactions that are positive for all parties involved, even though the benefits may not accrue immediately to each party
- I seek financial independence and abhor the excessive involvement of government in my personal and professional life
- I believe that my biggest impact on my community can be had by realizing the greatest profits possible within the constraints of morality and ethics so that I can give back to my community in the manner that most resonates with my own inner guidance
- I reject the notion that virtue or praiseworthiness are achieved by being a financial failure
There are many more such thoughts I have in mind… my objective is to come up with something of a “Real Estate Investor’s Creed” to keep in mind as I further my own business, and to share it with you for your benefit as well.
So: What other core beliefs/values should be a part of the serious real estate investor’s daily thoughts? Please enter your suggestions in the comments area below – and thank you for reading http://realestate.BryanEllis.com!

Great post, Bryan! Here are a couple more that come to mind for me:
** I believe that money by itself is not a worthy end goal, it is merely a tool. The end goal is freedom/life. Money just helps make that happen sooner and in style.
** If I help enough other people get what they want, I’ll end up getting what I really want. (thanks, Zig!)
…jp
This is well put! More can be added but if one gets too many they drift away from the core. Thanks.
Well done RealEstate Investing gets every parti’s concerns visited and refined.
Thank you all.
Great post Bryan, I always tend to have a steady stream of business and close more deals when my thoughts and beliefs are in line with what you posted. Thanks for the post and take care!

AS a RE Investor
I do believe if the banks set the rules and we abide by them, and
play the game accordingly to the rules the bank sets up for us.. We pay our taxes according to the law and the rules of the government how can this be illegal or a scam??Now if you break the rules and steal from the banks that we the people have BAILED OUT..
There are some bad people out their and they can be called scamers but we know that is not a majority of us and it is up to the
government to stop them and leave the good guys to boost the RE economy that the BAILOUT did not do, thank you MR BUSH..
